Update Marauder Firmware

Keep your ESP32 Marauder firmware up to date with the latest features and improvements

Before You Start

  • Use a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc.)
  • Unplug the board from your Flipper Zero first
  • Have a USB cable ready to connect the board to your computer
  • Stay on the flasher tab until the update finishes
  • Don't touch or unplug the device during the update process

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Disconnect and Connect

Unplug the board from your Flipper Zero and connect it directly to your computer using a USB cable.

Tip: Make sure you're using a data cable, not a charging-only cable.

2

Open the Sacred Labs Web Flasher

Open the Sacred Labs Web Flasher in your Chromium-based browser:

Open Web Flasher

Required: Chrome, Edge, Brave, or other Chromium-based browser

3

Connect Device

Click the "Connect" button on the left side of the website and select your device from the list.

Device Not Recognized?

If your computer doesn't recognize the board, you may need to install the CH340 driver:

Download CH340 Driver

Only install drivers if your board isn't getting recognized. Skip the driver download if connection works.

4

Select Board Configuration

After selecting your device, configure the firmware options:

Board: Select the board you have from the dropdown
5

Flash Firmware

Click the "Program" button to start the update process.

Important During Flashing
  • Don't unplug the device
  • Don't touch the device
  • Stay on the web flasher tab
  • Wait for the process to complete

The flashing process typically takes 2-5 minutes. You'll see progress indicators showing the update status.

6

Verify Update

Once the flashing is complete:

  • Disconnect the board from your computer
  • Reconnect it to your Flipper Zero
  • Test the Marauder functionality
  • Check the version in the Marauder interface

Firmware Compatibility

The Ultra V3, Combo, and Mini boards use the ESP-WROOM-32UE chip. The Elite V2 uses ESP32-C5. Make sure you choose the matching board option in the web flasher before programming.

Alternative Firmware

While Marauder is pre-loaded and recommended, you can flash other ESP32 firmware that's compatible with the ESP-WROOM-32UE chip. Always verify compatibility before flashing.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues during firmware installation, try these solutions:

  • Try a different USB cable (ensure it's a data cable)
  • Install CH340 drivers (links provided in step 3)
  • Try a different USB port
  • Restart your browser
  • Ensure you selected the correct board type
  • Try holding the "B" or "Boot" button while connecting
